2022 Ford Transit Connect Fuel

The Ford Transit Connect is ideal for drivers who require a van, whether for cargo or seating, but do not require the bulk of a full-size vehicle. The Transit Connect, which is available as a cargo van or passenger waggon, is easy to drive in urban areas due to its compact size, and its configurable cargo area accommodates a wide range of needs.

The Transit Connect turbo 2.0-liter gets up to 24 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The 2.5-liter engine is rated at up to 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. The Ram ProMaster City, which is rated at 21 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, is the Ford's only direct competitor. We can't report on the Ram or Ford's real-world mpg because we haven't tested them on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route, which is part of our extensive testing regimen.

2022 Ford Transit Connect Performance

The size of the Transit Connect, combined with a well-tuned chassis, makes it easy to drive on any road and provides a nimble feeling when taking corners. Because of its small turning radius, it can easily manoeuvre through city streets and crowded parking lots. The Transit Connect can tow up to 2,000 pounds when equipped with the larger four-cylinder engine and tow package, and the cargo van can carry up to 1,550 pounds of cargo.
