2022 Ford Bronco Raptor

The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor is designed to accelerate faster, climb over rocks more easily, and fly higher than the standard Bronco. It's essentially the same blueprint that Ford used for the hugely entertaining and capable F-150 Raptor pickup. The ultimate Bronco comes equipped with a 400-plus-hp twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6, a special long-travel suspension, massive 37-inch tyres, and a slew of other off-road goodies.

The 2022 Bronco Raptor will stand out from the crowd thanks to distinct styling cues like exaggerated fender flares and an exclusive grille design with amber lighting elements. Of course, its extensive catalogue of custom accessories ensures that owners can further personalise their rig. While the Raptor is significantly more expensive than the standard-issue Bronco, die-hard fans will covet its incredible performance.

2022 Ford Bronco Raptor Price

Ford has only revealed the Bronco Raptor's starting price. It costs slightly more than the F-150 Raptor, which starts at around $67,000. Only the Bronco model comes standard with 37-inch tyres. To get them on the pickup, you'll need to spend at least $78,470. We already know that the Bronco Raptor will only be available in four-door form, but we're still waiting for pricing information on available packages and individual options.

The Bronco lacks a V-8 engine, but the Raptor has an extra-powerful twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 that produces more than 400 horsepower. The engine is only available with a 10-speed automatic transmission and an advanced four-wheel-drive system with selectable G.O.A.T (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) modes.

The Bronco Raptor also has a beefier suspension setup than the standard model to handle powering over sand dunes or being jumped through the air, as well as a much wider track designed for better high-speed stability. The Raptorized Bronco comes standard with Fox adaptive dampers from the F-150 Raptor and 37-inch BFGoodrich K02 all-terrain tyres. The SUV can also tow up to 4500 pounds.

2022 Ford Bronco Raptor Interior

2022 Ford Bronco Raptor Interior

Despite its improved off-road capabilities, the Bronco Raptor has the same interior design and dimensions as the standard Bronco. That means it has rubberized flooring, marine-grade vinyl upholstery, and an overhead set of auxiliary toggles as standard. Those seeking a more opulent interior can also select leather-trimmed seats. The Raptor, like the regular Bronco, has removable body panels, specifically frameless doors that Ford claims are simple to remove.

Despite the fact that it is only available in a four-door configuration, the Raptor retains all of the innovative features found on other models, such as exterior mirrors mounted on the base of the windshield that are still functional when the doors are removed. Similarly, there's a rack built into the top of its dashboard that allows smartphones and GoPros to be mounted there, as long as they're plugged into nearby 12-volt outlets.

2022 Ford Bronco Raptor Infotainment

The Bronco Raptor comes standard with Ford's latest Sync 4 interface, which includes a large 12.0-inch touchscreen in the centre of the dashboard. The infotainment system includes modern features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. A powerful Bang & Olufsen sound system is also among the most desirable options.

2022 Ford Bronco Raptor Safety

The Raptor's available driver-assistance technology should be similar to that of the regular Bronco, with equipment that makes low-speed rock crawling and trail driving easier. Visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites for more information on the Bronco Raptor's crash-test results. The following are likely to be key safety features:

Forward collision warning and automated emergency braking are options.

Lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assistance are both available.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are options.
