2021 Kia Telluride Fuel

Home
The Kia Telluride is such a good buy that we'd go with the top-of-the-line SX model. It includes a 12-way power driver's seat, black-painted 20-inch rims, blind-spot monitoring, a Harman/Kardon audio system, front and rear sunroofs, and second-row captain's chairs as standard. Those who want the added security of all-wheel drive can get it for an additional $1900. We'd add the SX Prestige package to our Telluride, which includes a head-up display, heated and ventilated second-row seats, nappa leather upholstery, and more. The tow package's hitch and self-leveling rear suspension are also worthwhile additions for making the most of the ute's towing capability.

The Telluride, unlike many rival three-row SUVs, is only available with a V-6 engine. According to the EPA, the front-drive version is the most fuel-efficient, with ratings of 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. All-wheel-drive models get 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, which is slightly better than V-6 competitors like the Volkswagen Atlas but slightly worse than the Honda Pilot. On our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route, the all-wheel-drive Telluride we tested returned 24 mpg, which matched the government rating. During our real-world test, the Atlas got 24 mpg and the Pilot got 27 mpg.

The Kia Telluride is praised for its easy-to-use infotainment system. The Telluride LX and S models have an 8-inch touch screen, whereas the EX and SX models have a 10.2-inch touch screen. Both systems respond quickly to inputs and have a straightforward menu structure with crisp graphics. The climate and audio controls have redundant physical buttons and knobs, making these functions easy to adjust while driving.

All models include popular features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard equipment. There are a few other features you might find useful, such as an intercom to keep rowdy backseat passengers in line and a quiet mode for the stereo that mutes the rear speakers.
