The 2020 Cadillac XT4 received a couple of new standard driver assistance features, but it otherwise remains largely unchanged from the 2019 debut model.
2020 Cadillac XT4 Safety
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) awarded the XT4 a five-star safety rating, but the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has yet to complete its battery of tests. Cadillac does offer a slew of driver-assistance features, but only a few of them are standard. The following are important safety features:
Forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard features.
Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is available.
Adaptive cruise control is available.
How Safe Is the XT4?
In both crash tests, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the 2020 Cadillac XT4 the highest rating of Good.
The XT4 received a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with five stars in the side crash test and four stars in the frontal crash and rollover tests.
