Kia Sportage Nightfall Edition

The 2022 Kia Sportage is beginning to show its age in comparison to newer competition, but the compact crossover retains an upscale appearance and engaging driving dynamics. With its corporate cousin, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson, having recently undergone a major facelift, we anticipate that the Sportage will receive a similar treatment in the near future.

Until then, Kia hopes to keep customers satisfied with the SUV's attractive and well-built interior, which compensates for the SUV's small cargo area with ample passenger space. While its standard four-cylinder engine provides adequate, if unremarkable, power, a more powerful turbocharged version is available for faster acceleration. Unfortunately, it is only available on the most expensive model and isn't as fuel efficient as some competitors, such as the top-spec Mazda CX-5. Nonetheless, the 2022 Sportage is enjoyable to drive with either engine, which increases its appeal until the next generation is revealed.
