2022 Ford F-150 Raptor Fuel

Home
The 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor is designed to conquer all terrains, from rocky mountain terrain to wide-open desert sands. It has the ability to crawl up steep hills or travel at high speeds over uneven terrain. It's a trophy truck for the masses, and it makes few concessions in its pursuit of this goal.

Its prowess is due to the specialised hardware Ford instals on the Raptor. The Raptor's suspension has significantly more wheel travel than a standard F-150's, allowing the tyres to stay in contact with the ground when driving over large ruts and bumps. It also has specialised Fox shock absorbers, rear coil springs rather than the standard leaf springs (the Raptor is the only F-150 with them), and wider tracks. Topping it all off are large Raptor-specific off-road tyres (up to 37 inches tall), widened fenders, additional off-road driving modes, and increased horsepower from the F-150's turbocharged V6 engine.

The 2022 F-150 Raptor has a city fuel economy rating of up to 15 mpg and a highway fuel economy rating of up to 18 mpg. By upgrading to larger 37-inch tyres, you can reduce those figures to 14 mpg city and 16 mpg highway. We'll be able to assess its real-world mpg once we've had the opportunity to test one on our 75-mph highway route.
