2021 Cadillac XT5 Infotainment

The Cadillac XT5 aims for broad appeal as a compact luxury SUV. Unfortunately, it lacks some key characteristics that are required to compete successfully against impressive vehicles such as the BMW X3, Mercedes-AMG GLC43, and Volvo XC60. The XT5's cabin is spacious and comfortable, and it has a refined ride, but its appeal is limited in other ways. Buyers have the option of a turbocharged four-cylinder or a V-6 engine, but adding options quickly pushes the XT5's price tag into Porsche Macan territory—an area where the XT5 is even more out of its depth.

All Cadillac XT5 models are well-connected right out of the box, with features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. The infotainment system includes simple controls, such as a rotary controller. A new Bose sound system is also available. For charging mobile devices, there are four USB ports conveniently located throughout the cabin, and a wireless inductive phone-charging pad is available between the two front seats.
