2022 Kia Niro Touring SE

One thing that stands out about the new Kia Niro is how drastically different it looks from the previous model. It's heavily influenced by the Habaniro concept from 2019, most notably in its two-tone bodywork.

It has ultra-thin LED lights and a full-width chrome bar up front, above a thin grille. The brake lights have been pushed so far out on the rear of the car that they are practically on the side of the new Kia Niro, while the rear bumper features reflectors in a formation similar to the front lights.

How Long Does It Take to Charge the Niro?

The charging time of the Niro EV is determined by the method used. Plugging into a Level 3 DC Fast Charging station can recharge the battery by 80 percent in one hour and 15 minutes. Using a 240-volt outlet or a Level 2 public charging station, the battery can be fully charged in nine hours and 30 minutes. Charging the Niro EV with a Level 1 120-volt household-style power outlet would take about two and a half days.

Because the Niro PHEV's battery pack is much smaller, it can recoup a full charge in less than two hours using a Level 2 charger. The Level 1 method takes eight to ten hours.
