2022 Ford Ranger Fuel

The interior of the 2022 Ford Ranger is dated and cheap-looking, and standard features are scarce. But if you can look past these flaws, there's a lot to like about this compact pickup truck. The Ranger's turbocharged engine provides quick acceleration and good fuel economy, as well as impressive hauling and towing capability. The Ranger is easy to manoeuvre and has a comfortable ride. Its spacious SuperCrew configuration is also ideal for families.

2022 Ford Ranger Fuel

The EPA estimates that the rear-wheel drive Ranger will get up to 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel-drive version gets up to 20 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, but the Tremor model gets 19 mpg in both categories. As part of our extensive testing, we put three Rangers through our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route. After some fairly aggressive driving, two of these were crew-cab four-wheel-drive models that achieved 16 mpg and 15 mpg combined. The third version was rear-wheel drive and achieved 25 mpg on the highway.

Ford Ranger Gas Mileage

The Ford Ranger gets 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, which is excellent for a compact pickup truck. When equipped with four-wheel drive, gas mileage drops to 20/24 mpg city/highway, and it drops even further to 19 mpg city/highway for models with the Tremor package.
