2022 Ford Maverick Safety

The Ford Maverick pickup truck has been in development for some time, but the wait is finally over. It's finally available for purchase and orders.

2022 Ford Maverick

The Ford Maverick is available in three trim levels: XL, XLT, and Lariat, with the XL being the best choice for keeping the price as low as possible. It lacks basic creature comforts that most buyers consider essential, but it would be suitable for use as a work truck. The XLT adds 17-inch aluminium wheels, cruise control, a power tailgate lock, power exterior mirrors, and other features, making it the most affordable model. We'd pay $1085 for the optional turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and $3305 for all-wheel drive. We'd also get the $745 Tow package to unlock the Maverick's maximum towing capacity of 4000 pounds.

The Maverick has a number of driver-assistance features, but many of the most desired items will necessitate the purchase of an option package or the purchase of a more expensive trim. Visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites for more information on the Maverick's crash test results. The following are important safety features:

Automatic emergency braking is standard.

Lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist is available.

Adaptive cruise control is available.
