2022 Ford Maverick Price

Although the nameplate was originally used on a less-than-stellar compact car line in the 1970s, Ford has revived the Maverick name for its new small pickup truck, which sits below the mid-size Ranger in the lineup. This time, the Maverick is a standout package deserving of an Editors' Choice award. The Maverick rides on the same chassis as the Bronco Sport compact crossover, rather than sharing parts and mechanicals with the Ranger. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, an electric motor, a continuously variable automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive are standard.

The Maverick belongs to a new class of small pickup trucks, which Hyundai will also enter with the upcoming Santa Cruz.
