2022 Ford F-150 Lightning Price

Home
Ford hasn't kept the upcoming F-150 Lightning a secret, as evidenced by its million-pound towing stunt in 2019. The Lightning shares much of the body and cabin of the regular F-150, but replaces the truck's gasoline-powered V-6 and V-8 engine options with a pair of electric motors and one of two different battery packs. The Standard-Range battery is rated to go up to 230 miles on a single charge, while the Extended-Range juice pack is rated to go up to 300 miles.

However, by the time the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning hits the market, it will not be the only all-electric pickup truck on the market. GMC's Hummer EV SUT is nearing completion, and Rivian, an upstart, may also beat Ford to the punch. However, neither of those trucks has the strength of the F-150 name behind it, and the electric version of America's favourite truck will undoubtedly be an impressive piece when it goes on sale in spring 2022.

2022 Ford F-150 Lightning Price

The current gasoline version of the Ford F-150 starts just over $30,000, but that figure is far from representative of the wide range of models available. Similarly, Ford's announced starting price for the new electric F-150, the 2022 Lightning, is only part of the storey. The base Lightning, aimed at commercial customers, will cost $41,669, while the XLT will cost $54,669. The top Lariat and Platinum trim levels, on the other hand, will be much more expensive, with the Platinum starting at a whopping $92,569.
