2022 Range Rover Evoque Engine

The 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque has a stylish interior and quick acceleration, but some rival luxury subcompact SUVs provide more passenger and cargo space. This vehicle does not have an overall rating or score because it has not been fully crash tested or reliability rated.

2022 Range Rover Evoque Engine

The 2022 Range Rover Evoque is equipped with a 246-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine as standard. The acceleration is strong, both from a standstill and as you approach cruising speeds.

If you prefer more power, consider the optional 296-horsepower turbo-four. This engine provides more power for merging and passing thanks to a mild-hybrid system.

All models come standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It performs its duties with a high degree of precision, but it can occasionally struggle to shift into the proper gear.

2022 Range Rover Evoque Gas Mileage

The 2022 Range Rover Evoque gets 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway with its base engine. The optional mild-hybrid engine doesn't help matters much, achieving 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. Both of these ratings are below the industry standard for a luxury subcompact SUV.

2022 Range Rover Evoque Ride and Handling

Even though it isn't the most fun-to-drive crossover in the class, the Range Rover Evoque handles well. Body roll is kept to a minimum, and the ride quality remains comfortable even on rough pavement.

Range Rover Evoque Off-Road Performance

The smallest Range Rover gives up little in terms of off-road capability. Four-wheel drive, low-speed cruise control, wade depth sensing, and the Terrain Response 2 system are standard on all models. You can choose one of four drive modes – General Driving, Mud and Ruts, Grass, Gravel, Snow, and Sand – or let the car monitor and adapt to your surroundings automatically.

The ClearSight Ground View camera system, which is optional, provides a view of the road or path ahead of you to assist you in avoiding obstacles. The maximum ground clearance of the Evoque is 8.3 inches, and the maximum wading depth is about 21 inches.
