2022 Kia Sorento Interior

Across the board, the Kia Sorento boasts high-quality materials and a sharp design. Lower-priced models outperform their price in terms of quality, while higher-end trims have elegant styling. The cabin remains quiet and insulated from outside noise while driving, and the overall fit and finish is excellent.

2022 kia Sorento Cargo Space

With only 12.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third-row seats, the Kia Sorento trails nearly all other midsize SUVs in this category. There's enough space behind the third row for a couple of suitcases, but it lacks the utility you'd expect from a crossover.

The back seats fold down to provide 45 cubic feet of cargo space, which is on par with the rest of the class. The Sorento has 75.5 cubic feet of cargo space when all rear seats are folded.

How many people can the Sorento seat?

The Sorento is a seven-seat SUV with a second-row bench seat and two third-row seats. All turbocharged engine models include middle-row captain's chairs, making this crossover a six-person vehicle.

The first two rows have plenty of head- and legroom, and it's easy to find a comfortable sitting position. The third row is a different storey. Space is tighter than in the second row, and the seating position can cause adults to ride awkwardly with their knees up. Taller passengers should probably limit their time back there.

Child Car Seats and the Kia Sorento

The Sorento has four complete sets of LATCH connectors, two for the second-row outboard seats and two for the third row.

This LATCH system received the second-highest Acceptable rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The lower anchors are set deep in the seats, but there's enough space to move your hands around and attach the straps with ease. The tether anchors are all clearly labelled and easy to locate.
