2022 Ford F-150 Fuel

Home
The Ford F-150 now has a new Black Appearance package for 2022, which is available on XL, XLT, Lariat, and Platinum models. The Bed Utility package is now available as an option on the XL, XLT, Lariat, and Tremor trims, as well as standard on the higher-end King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims. It has a tailgate step as well as locking cleat-style tie downs. This year's colour palette also includes Atlas Blue. The all-electric F-150 Lightning will also be available for the 2022 model year, but we will cover that model separately.

2022 Ford F-150

The Ford F-150 comes in a variety of body styles and bed lengths. While the XLT model is a step up from the basic XL work truck, we prefer the Lariat's extra luxuries. It is nearly $10,000 more expensive than the XLT, which may put it out of reach for some buyers, but it has the best combination of features and affordability.

The EPA estimates that the 2022 Ford F-150 with the turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6 will get up to 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 engine gets up to 18 mpg in the city and 24 on the highway. The hybrid version is estimated to get up to 25 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The Tremor model with the twin-turbo 3.5-liter engine returned 19 mpg on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route, which is part of our extensive testing regimen. We'll be able to evaluate the F-150 hybrid's real-world mpg once we've driven it. Visit the EPA's website for more information on the F-150's fuel economy.
