2022 Ford Escape Hybrid SEL and Plug-In Hybrid SEL

Ford offers three trim levels for the 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid: SE, SEL, and Titanium. We believe that the base SE trim is the best option for most buyers because it comes standard with standard tech and safety features. It can also be equipped with many of the features found on higher-level trims, such as heated seats, navigation, and a power liftgate.

Aside from the trim, you must also select the powertrain. The Ford Escape Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) has a larger battery pack, allowing it to travel further on battery power alone. In comparison, the Escape Hybrid has no discernible electric-only driving range, but it is less expensive to purchase and is available with front- or all-wheel drive. The Escape PHEV is only available in front-wheel drive.

The Ford Escape Hybrid SEL with front-wheel drive starts at $30,500 and $32,000 with all-wheel drive, while the Escape Plug-In Hybrid SEL costs $33,815. This package includes heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat, a heated steering wheel, remote start, rear parking sensors, a power liftgate, fog lights, and 18-inch wheels.

A digital gauge cluster, wireless device charging, a 10-speaker stereo, and a hands-free power liftgate are available in addition to the previously mentioned options for the SEL trim.
