2022 Ford Edge Price

If you want a medium-sized SUV but don't need three rows of seating, the 2022 Ford Edge and its two-row competitors are available and offer more space than most compact crossovers. The Ford looks good and comes with either a turbocharged four-cylinder or a 335-hp twin-turbo V-6, but only in the performance-oriented ST trim.

Similar packages are available from a number of competitors, including the Chevy Blazer, Honda Passport, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport, and some are simply more refined. The Edge's cabin can be outfitted with a plethora of luxury and convenience features, including a massive 12.0-inch infotainment display, but its ageing design and low-end materials take passengers out of the premium-SUV fantasy.

With standard all-wheel drive and a 12.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the $36,150 Ford Edge SE provides exceptional value. Consider the $38,590 Edge SEL, which includes heated power front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, and LED headlights; the $45,005 Edge ST may be too much in a few ways.

While the boosted V-6 power of the ST model sounds appealing, the price is anything but. We'd settle for the mid-level SEL model with the turbocharged four-cylinder. Moving up to the SEL adds plenty of features to justify the price increase, including a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a partially digital gauge display, a nine-speaker stereo system, heated front seats, a six-way power-adjustable passenger's seat, LED fog lamps, and more.
