2022 Ford Bronco Engine

The Ford Bronco 2022 is an off-road SUV with standard 4x4 capability built on a pickup truck chassis. The Bronco, which is available in two-door or four-door, soft-top or hard-top configurations, attempts to dethrone the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon as the best off-road vehicle.

How fast is the Ford Bronco?

The Ford Bronco's main concern is not speed, but the available 2.7-liter twin-turbo V-6 accelerates to 60 mph in less than seven seconds.

The Ford Bronco does not have an eight-cylinder engine. Instead, a standard 300-hp turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder or a 330-hp twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6 are available. A 10-speed automatic transmission is available for both gas engines, but a seven-speed manual transmission is only available for the smaller one. Unfortunately, neither engine has a lively soundtrack. Every Bronco has all-wheel drive, and its independent front suspension is more sophisticated than Jeep's front stick axle.

35-inch mud-terrain tyres, beadlock-capable wheels, electronic locking front and rear differentials, and a sway-bar disconnect feature are also available. Following our initial impressions, the Bronco impressed us the most with its on-road refinement. The Ford not only has more precise steering than the Wrangler, but it also handles better overall. Of course, with the largest tyres and softest suspension, there is significant brake dive, and the body-on-frame construction isn't hidden. Nonetheless, the Bronco isn't a one-trick pony, and it's capable of overcoming truly treacherous terrain. Both the two- and four-door models can tow 3500 pounds, which is the same as the Wrangler.
