2020 Cadillac CT5 Engine

The Cadillac CT5's standard engine is a 237-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder; the optional engine is a 335-hp twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6. The CT5-V features a 360-hp version of the twin-turbo V-6 engine as well as standard features such as adaptive dampers and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. A more track-ready model is also being developed, with a prototype already being tested. Both engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission; rear-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive available as an option.

2020 Cadillac CT5 Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The Cadillac CT5 is powered by a 237-horsepower four-cylinder turbocharged engine. It has a strong presence, but it does not stand out in the class. Cadillac also provides a twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 335 horsepower. The CT5 V-Series boosts the power to 360 horsepower. After a brief moment of turbo lag, the V6 really comes to life.

All Cadillac CT5 models come standard with a 10-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly and precisely. However, it can occasionally remain in gear for too long or hesitate to downshift when you hit the gas hard and require more power.
